This project is the publication design and print production of the 2024 Senior Show for the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University. This project comprised art direction, publication design, and the production of the final book deliverable.




The Opportunity

In Spring of 2024, the senior graphic design cohort at Anderson University was tasked with designing all visuals surrounding the 2024 Senior Show for the Department of Art + Design, from intial conceptualization to the production of the final deliverables. 



The Process + Solution

The conceptual roots for the Senior Show exhibition design began with a cohort-wide discussion surrounding our senior year. After exploring and researching concepts, the design cohort was drawn to the phenomenon observed in a prism, where light enters the form and gathers at a single point before colorfully dispersing into individual colors. This single point at which the light gathers before dispersion is known as the “nexus.” Similar to light gathering in a prism, each individual member of the Art + Design senior class converges for a unique time during our studies at university before diverging into our respective professions.
Based on this concept, the design cohort opted for a vibrant visual direction with touchpoints displaying the full spectrum of color. Each Art + Design senior was given their own custom color to denote all touchpoints that would correspond to that student, such as name tags and signage around their individual work in the exhibition.

After collaborating to create the general visual direction, my tasks on the design team centered around publication design of the informational book about the senior class, as well as the printing and production of the final book deliverable.
